This week we will be working on using literature to learn how to use money in order to get ready for Kid’s Marketplace.  Your child will also be getting their job on Monday for Kid’s Marketplace.  They can dress up like their job.  Usually there is a prize for the best dressed.  We will also continue writing our opinion piece.  Your students have been reading a novel in reading groups.  Ask them how it is going.

I have lots of information this time.  Please pull out your calendars and mark down some important days coming up.
Monday, January 14:  Our class spelling bee!
Thursday, January 17:  School Math Night 6:00-7:30.  Come learn about the new math core.  The school appreciates you getting a babysitter for your children on that night.
